This four hour ride with 808 Tours starts at a bike shop at King Albert Park and rolls the Rail Corridor before dropping into the civic heart of the city. You ride a Brompton folding bike, included in the price, with an STB licensed guide leading the way. The first stretch passes the Old Bukit Timah Railway Station, then reaches SkyOasis at Dawson, a 30 minute stop.
From there the route heads to the river. Elgin Bridge, the Raffles Landing Site and Cavenagh Bridge come in quick succession, followed by longer stops at Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall, the Padang, the National Gallery and the Merlion. The ride finishes along the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade, ending at the lobby of the Fullerton Hotel or another spot the group agrees on. A local coffee or tea at a coffeeshop or food centre is included along the way.
Groups cap at 10 travellers. The listing asks for a moderate physical fitness level. Admission fees to venues are not included, though most outdoor stops are free to view.
A few practical points will help you decide whether this ride fits your trip and your legs.
Common issues. The honest limits are on the listing itself. Venue admissions are excluded, so anyone expecting to enter the National Gallery or Victoria Theatre will only view them from outside unless paying separately. The tour is not wheelchair accessible and is not recommended for pregnant travellers or people with back problems. The experience also needs a minimum number of travellers to run, and if that minimum is not met you get a different date, a different experience or a refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of the 08:30 start receive no refund.
No. Hotel pickup is not included. You meet outside 808 Cycles at 9 King Albert Park, level 2 next to the escalator, at 08:30, and the tour ends at the Fullerton Hotel lobby or another spot the group agrees on.
Rental of a Brompton folding bike, an STB licensed tour guide, and a local coffee or tea at a coffeeshop or food centre. Admission fees to venues are not included, nor is hotel pickup.
Most outdoor stops are free, including the railway station, bridges, the Padang and the waterfront promenade. Victoria Theatre, the National Gallery, the Old Hill Street Police Station and the F1 Pit Building are listed with admission not included, so budget for those only if you plan to enter.
It runs about 4 hours. The listing asks for a moderate physical fitness level and advises against it for travellers with back problems, heart conditions or pregnancy. It is not wheelchair accessible.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the 08:30 start for a full refund. Later cancellations get no refund, and changes within 24 hours are not accepted. If weather or low traveller numbers cancel the tour, you are offered a different date or experience, or a full refund.
The maximum group size is 10 travellers. The listing also notes the tour requires a minimum number of travellers to run.
